BERNAL HEIGHTS  'THE HOTTEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN SAN FRANCISCO'

One of the last great neighborhoods to be "discovered" in San Francisco Bernal is making the transition from a traditional blue-collar settlement to a hospitable enclave of artists, young families, and left-leaning political life.  It owes its growing desirability to its exceptionally homey setting and inspiring city views.

Home to two great parks, this community is beloved by dog owners and hikers alike.  The largest park, called Bernal Heights, occupies the crest of the hill and is a breezy respite for area residents who enjoy fresh air and pristine views of downtown San Francisco and the bay. The second, Precita Park resides at the bottom of Bernal and is a favorite for young children and families, who find the playground and expansive lawns to be a perfect afternoon setting.

The best of City living is close by with top-rated restaurants, neighborhood cafes, boutique shopping, organic markets and thriving entertainment in Bernal Heights, Mission/Valencia Corridor, and Glen Park.  A commuter paradise with convenient access to 280/101, tech shuttles and Glen Park BART.  MUNI bus service out of Bernal toward downtown is easy to find on Mission street.

Neighborhood Gems:  Dining:  Blue Plate, Ichi Sushi, Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack, Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Gialiana’s Pizza, La Corneta, Liberty Cafe.  Cole Hardware, Canyon Ranch Market, Good Life Grocery, Holly Park, Bernal Hill, weekends are great for the Alemany Farmer’s Market (Saturday) and Flea Market (Sunday).
